I enjoy helping people who stutter find success and confidence in communication and their lives by providing quality stuttering therapy.
But I also understand that traditional speech therapy isn’t always the best option at all times for all people.
In a series of short posts, I am going to share some free resources with you. You can work through them to help better understand and manage your stutter. None of them are a replacement for quality therapy with a qualified therapist; but they can be part of your journey.
The first is this truly one-of-a-kind book:
This book “Advice to those who stutter” is one of the best selling books published by The Stuttering Foundation.
It is filled with practical and deeply meaningful advice from talented therapists who know first-hand what it is like to stutter. They share their personal stories with stuttering and also their best advice for managing it, increasing fluency, and living without fear and shame.
There is a FREE PDF version that you can print at home (or read on a device) OR you can purchase a low-cost ($10) paper copy and have it mailed to you.
Either way, consider checking it out.
And if you’re in a position where you want some professional guidance from a qualified therapist, consider reaching out to me or another that you feel comfortable with. Self-therapy is a way of life for many people who stutter; but sometimes it can be nice to have an expert help lighten the load along the way.
